Literary Topics

A thought-provoking series of lectures relating to matters of literary interest. This year each presenter has chosen a book which in some way is typical of its decade of origin in the twentieth century. We shall consider works by Kipling, Vera Brittan, Virginia Woolf, Nancy Mitford, Albert Camus, Evelyn Waugh, Sam Selvon, Kazuo Ishiguro, Alan Sillitoe, Malcolm Bradbury, Tolkien and Rowling.
